Panel Discussion
Rediscovering Farjallah Haïk
4 October, 2023 - 4 October, 2023
A panel discussion on a somewhat forgotten Lebanese novelist of the first half of the 20th century.
The Lebanese author Farjallah Haïk is a somewhat forgotten Lebanese literary figure of the first half of the Twentieth century. Iconoclast and fearless he described Lebanese society, including its mountain folk free of any idealization. A prolific novelist, his writing was praised by leading French critics and publishers of his time. The French Institute's annual "Beyrouth Livres" invites Jocelyne Hayeck, Ramy Zein and Bertrand Fattal to discuss his life and work in a panel moderated by Alexandre Najjar.
The round table will take place on October 4 at 5.30pm at the Charles Corm Foundation.
