Jacaranda
Jacaranda - الجَكَرَنْدَة
Description
The jacaranda is a majestic tree native to South America, famous for its spectacular purple flowers. In spring and summer, it is covered in clusters of bell-shaped flowers, offering an enchanting spectacle. A fast-growing plant, it thrives in warm, sunny climates and well-drained soils. Its abundant flowering makes it a symbol of beauty and renewal in many cultures. Its name derives from Tupi-Guarani (a Latin American language) via Portuguese. It is said that the tree first appeared in Lebanon when Lebanese emigrants from Brazil brought back its seeds.

Poem
Beauty and Harmony
A tree’s leaves, as ordinary as they may be,
How well they respect their neighbours,
Better than sisters and cousins in our homes,
They make sure everyone has their space.
The most experienced branch – closest to the sap
Takes care not to keep all the nutrients,
While the most fortunate – closest to the sky
Makes sure not to overshadow its neighbours.
With exquisite art they spread themselves out
From branch to branch, helping each other
And in the process creating a mobile masterpiece!
It’s as if the leaves can love and feel loved.
Since so much sun, dew and wind
Sing in chorus to their Happiness!… When will we do the same?
