Description
The story goes that Charles Corm chose this plot of land because of a magnificent palm grove. Period photographs show beautiful palm trees where the garden now stands. In the hope of reviving this past, date palms have been added to the nursery.

The Palm Tree
(Excerpts)
In a single line, like a column’s shaft
Rises the palm tree.
Its age, marked by the rings of its trunk
Stretches to its green crown.
It has garnered all its strength
Along its pillar
To burst out from the stem
Beneath a flock of pigeons.
It’s a surge of green sap,
A gush of palms and fruit,
That reach to the sky.
